This has been a long time coming.

I was recently inspired to complete this site after viewing my friend’s site and realizing that I had neglected this aspect of my professional image. I decided that, though I’ve made it my habit to build custom dynamic websites, a static site generator would really be sufficient for the purpose. Thus, after doing some research into the existing options, I will be trying out Hugo. Hugo was written in Go, which is a programming language developed by Google specifically for use as a server-side language.

My intention with this site is mainly as a place to display my portfolio. However, I would like to start getting more involved in the various conversations surrounding the tech field and may use this blog as a space for that. That being said, I guess this is my Hello World with Hugo.
